How listing on BDLUC brings more traffic
· Guide
Customers rarely find a business by typing its web address. They search, ask, and click on whatever answers them. A listing adds several new ways in.
1. A page made to be found
Your listing has its own address, title and description, written the way people search: your name, what you do and your town. It carries structured data (schema.org) that tells search engines your name, address, founding year and links, and it exists in English and Bangla with hreflang tags, so each language can show up for the people who search in it. Search engines read it as plain HTML, with no app to load first.
2. Lists for the searches people make
Many searches are not for a name but for a kind of business in a place: “software companies in Dhaka”, “hospitals in Chattogram”. Your own website rarely ranks for those. BDLUC builds a list page for each one, such as software companies in Bangladesh, and your company appears on the lists for its line of business and town, as well as on your district and city pages.
3. Search engines hear about you quickly
When you list or update your company, BDLUC notifies the search engines that support IndexNow, including Bing, straight away, and every listing is in our sitemap for Google and the rest. That means your page can be discovered within days instead of waiting for someone to link to it.
4. AI assistants can find and cite you
More people now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude or Google's AI answers instead of scrolling through links. BDLUC welcomes these answer engines, publishes a plain summary of the directory for them (llms.txt) and names the source of every fact. When someone asks for “international schools in Dhaka”, a clear, sourced listing is exactly what an assistant can quote and link.
5. Something people want to share
A link to your listing shows a card with your building, logo and name. From your account you can download a photo and a short video of your building for Facebook, Reels and WhatsApp Status. A new building in a 3D city is the kind of post that gets attention, and every view sends people back to your page.
6. A badge and a trusted second source
Put the “Listed on BDLUC” badge on your website and it links to your page. Customers who are unsure whether a business is real often look for it in a second place; a listing with your founding year, address and sources answers that question.
What a listing won't do
A listing is not a shortcut to the top of Google for competitive words, and nobody can honestly promise you that. It works best alongside your own website, a Google Business Profile and real customer reviews. What it adds is accurate, consistent information about you, in two languages, in one more place that search engines and people trust. New to the topic? Read how SEO works. Ready?
